About Houston, MS
Houston, population of 3,505, is a Main Street Community located in Chickasaw County, Mississippi and is one of two county seats. Judge Joel Pinson donated land for development of what is now Houston, MS on July 8, 1836, naming the settlement in memory of his childhood friend Sam Houston.
